I really liked this movie and i hope they at least make one more if not two like spiderman or X-man. I noticed that all the marvel movies that go over good get at least one more movie. For example the Spiderman movies, the X-man movies, Fantastic Four, and the Hulk(i think i heard somwhere that there will be a second one). The Punisher was a good movie(i thought), but it didn't go over well in the theaters. I just hope they make a second ghost rider. %26gt;o%26lt;

i dont know, the movie was a bit of a downer because black heart was played as some human insted of a big black thing with long hair, a tail, and red eyes

if they do make another movie i hope they will get the character to look more like the character on the comic book

Reply:Yes they are talking about a Ghost Rider sequel (Nicholas Cage has said he's interested).

The Hulk sequel was dead for a while, but it's now in the works (and it looks like a major re-do).

Spider-Man 2 was VERY good, and #3 looks great! FF#2 comes out this summer and looks even better than the first. There's not much hope for a Punisher sequel...

Iron Man is in the works and there's rumors of either Wolverine or X-Men 4...
Reply:If Ghost Rider is a sucess yes they most likely will. And they are making the 2nd Hulk movie in 2008 but it has nothing to due with the other one. But since adults grew up reading comics such as

Spider-Man FF Hulk Ghost Rider etc. THats why Marvel movies are such big hits.

What was the last movie you rented from a movie store and watched?

The last movie I rented from the movie store was the movie called: "Chasing Freedom." It was very sad. It was about an afghanastan fighting for freedom, in order to live in the USA..and she got beat in her own country, JUST for teaching!! Can you believe this?? But. anyway, it was a good movie, and made me cry... I'd definitely recommend it.

If u watch most movies, someone always says the title of the movie typically im refering to movies that are phrases not just a word. - , "This is our independence day", "You gotta go....back to the future", "he was a big fish in a little pond", "I'm going to Kill Bill", "This will be the fellowship of the ring" ...etc..etc

All I remember of this movie is the last 5 minutes of the movie. The song "Nothings gonna stop us now" by Starship was playing and I believe it was a sci-fi movie. There was a male and female in the last scene. The female was covered in a red substance (maybe blood and some kind of slime) and the guy had a spacesuit on. They were holding each other and the credits rolled. I'm 26 now, so I had to have seen it in the mid 80's. IT'S NOT Mannequin! I think it's a space movie! Anyway the damn movie haunts my dreams and drives me crazy. I've checked imdb.com and I’ve googled it, but I can't find this movie! Am I crazy or is this a real movie?

1. I just noticed that it took about 3-4 years to start making movies about 9/11, so I don't know if it would be a good idea to make a movie about the Katrina victims for another 2 years or so. Is it too early to make a movie about Hurricane Katrina?

2. With movies like "Field of Dreams" and "The Rookie", would it be a good idea to make another one. Have there been enough baseball movies?

3. I noticed that Disney's "Eight Below" didn't do so well at the box office, but it was a pretty average movie. Would it be a good idea to make another movie about Antarctic scientists?

As a writer, I need some serious answers on this one.

A few movie questions...?
01. Some people just don't want to relive a real-life disaster. I am one. I still end up with a clenched fist and tight jaw after everytime I am forced to watch the video footage of the 9-11 attacks.

02. As for "Field of Dreams" and "The Rookie", I like both. "Field of Dreams" is one of my all-time favorites. And no, it's more than just baseball. It doesn't strike to me as a 'baseball movie'. All me life, I have never been to the plate or swung a bat at a pitch...but i still like the movie. Just great movies that involved baseball.

03. The movie "Eight Below" wasn't much on the ice-cap scientists but about the survival of the dogs and the bond they share with each other and with their master-handler. It would be somehow on a wrong perspective if we equate the movie with Antarctic science. Antarctic science movie? I dunno. There is not much around there that could be such an interest as for it to become a movie material. Movie on penguins, maybe. Just my humble opinion. I enjoyed the movie as I love dogs.

Reply:1. I think to even think of comparing 9/11 to Katrina is a bit much. A natural disaster and an act of terrorism have the same waiting period? I'm going no. When the Levees Break, though a documentary, said everything that needed to be said. I say leave well enough alone.

2. In my opinion, there can never be enough great baseball films. GREAT baseball films, are like GREAT films, though, few and far between. Though some women may sound sick of them, we'll always cry at a good ending like "Dad, wanna have a catch?"

3. For you to say it was an "average" movie and ask if there should be another one, it almost sounds like you're striving for mediocrity from the get go.
Reply:Don't know about 1 and 2 but for three if it makes people think, it might be a good movie. In 2012 the world is supposed to end. If the Ross Ice Shelf breaks off in 2012 when it supposed to caused by global warming it will make the largest iceberg in the history of modern man about 1500 square miles in diameter and two miles thick. By the time it melts all of the oceans and rivers in the world will rise about 47 feet, pretty much ending all life on the planet as we know it today. Make a good book, for a little while if it happens for real. Of course, like the book Lucifer's Hammer years ago it won't make the author very well liked.

3. No, because that is not real story. Real story is much sadder. In the real story I think that out of 15 dogs only 2 survived. Who would wanna watch that?
Reply:1. i think doing a movie about katrina is a little different than 9/11. i think that a movie on katrina could help get awarness, for the victims. so it would be a good thing. i don't think it's too early. i think the reason that 9/11 was so long was because it was an attack against our country. thats differnet than a natural disaster. it's a little more sensitive of a subject, and everybody in the u.s. was effected by it. were as mostly just the people in new orleans were effected by katrina, most others don't rally know what going on there. so if they did a film it would have to inform people of what happened and whats still happening.

2. there is never enough sports movies. ever. but you do have to change them up a bit. you can't have enother feild of dreams, it just wouldn't work. i thought that benchwarmers was a pretty good movie, because it wasn't a classic baseball movie. it was different. personaly my favorite baseblall movie is bull durham. mostly because it would still be a realy good movie without the baseball. i think that is the key to making sports movies. it has to be able to be good without the sport. but still have a lot of sports in it.

3. umm, if you made a completely diffenerent movie about antarctic scientists. eight below was a disney movie. so it was all pg and stuff. it would probably be better if there were more excite meant and stuff.

I own a video store. I am wondering if it is legal to rent a dvd movie by reading from a computer and watch it over the internet one customer at a time. I think it is legal since it is played off the orginal dvd media.

My understanding is that there is no licensing need to rent orginal movies. There is the first sale doctrine says you can sell, lent trade or give away any movie title once you purchase it. Here is the reference from wikipedia.

Sony has the Location free device that can do that and slingbox can do similar function where you can play dvd movie and watch anywhere. I think this is legal for personall use. But, what about for rental purpose?

I called the MPAA people, the website says it want to educate people about what's legal and what's not. But, legal department offer no help at all. It seems like they just want to represent their client and sue people. No advice without a fee.

Back just before VHS home movies caught on, Pepsi was the first to put an advertisment in the front of a VHS movie in order to allow the studio to lower the price of movies. Previously, VHS movies were $70 per movie, with the start of ads, they went to $20. What movie was that?

I was watching a couple of old movies so here it is-Christopher Walken played in an 80's movie Dead Zone in the movie he told his class "Go home and read Sleepy Hollow it's about a headless horseman". 20 years later he played in Sleepy Hollow as the Headless Horseman. One more, in the 80's movie School Daze Kadeem Hardison %26amp; Jasmine Guy played college students in a movie about dorm life, a few years later they played in A Different World a series about college students and dorm life. Do you get the concept, can you top that?

Superman movies 1. 2. and 3, Christopher Reeves played superman and then a scientist in the TV series, Smallville, which has Clark Kent as a teen. Christopher Reeves last TV performance. He was awesome.

The lady that played Lois Lane, Clark's long time girlfriend in Superman movies 1, 2, and 3, played a part a couple of times on Smallville. She was murdered by the only other being from Krypton on Earth besides Clark.

Old TV series, Lost in Space, about family in space and space ship gets lost. Dad, mom, son, daughter, pilot, evil doctor and robot were all together.

Movie from a few years ago, Lost In Space, stared mom from original shows as the scientist on new movie. Son, Will, placed different wardrobe and faces on her with his I-Pod thingie.

Alot more of these great remakes have some of the original cast playing bit parts.

Windows movie maker question?

i have several 15 second long movie clips that i took with my digital camera and i am trying to splice them together into one long movie clip. i tried windows movie maker, but i cant seem to splice digital camera clips together. i had no problem with other movie clips, but for some reason my digital camera clips will only play one at a time. is it not possible to splice digital camera movie clips together on windows movie maker?

Did you render the video? If you didn't render it, the clips will all be separate in the timeline view, and look like "separate clips," but when you render it, it'll combine them. Hope this helps!
Reply:Did you drag each of them to the time-line in the order you want them to play? If you place no video effects on the clips there will be no transition between them and they should play one right after the other - unless you want a fade in and out effect.

After this you have drag each clip to the Story Board. Click the show time line. Click at the beginning of time line and enjoy the show

I am searching for a movie website (the official site that goes with the actual movie)

Problem: I don't know what the movie is called but I know something about the website once. The webpage loaded up to an autumn (fall) scene and had gentle piano music playing and I think there was a drawn picture of a house on the page. The page had animated trees in fall and if you dragged your mouse pointer over the red leaves of the tree they would flutter down like they do in the fall. The movie was released around 2004-2005 and is not particularly obscure. I cannot remember the name of the Hollywood movie to return to the site. The movie may of been a thriller genre.

Any help is very welcome, maybe you remember a movie website just like it.

Movie Idea, and I need YOUR help!?

Okay guys, I need your help. I had a dream that I was watching a

movie, and the movie seemed so interesting to me that I would like to

turn that movie into a reality. This may actually be real, considering

the fact that I plan to be a movie director/writer.

Basically, the idea is for a number of people that have somehow

obtained special powers (not all in the same matter, necessarily) are

recruited to work for a strict organization called "Z-Corp", and even

though they are afraid to admit it to eachother, it is very strict and

rutheless. A few people are going to die in this movie.

I need help coming up with more characters. I have a completed

character (I don't have a name for her yet. Sharki?) She is the main

character, created by a top-secret genetic company responsible for

genetic engineering. She has shark DNA, giving her Sharp teeth and a

flexible jaw (allowing her to bite part of somebody's skull off, part

of an arm, etc.)., Gills (for breathing underwater), a lateral line (a

line along her sides that increases her sense of touch underwater).

Her weakness is that she goes into a mindless, rampant, rage whenever

she smells blood. Z-Corp keeps her on a tight chain to keep her from

escaping their power, for they have a special medicine that she takes

to keep her from going berserk.

I also have another vague idea for one. He is a man who can turn into

some sort of material that can pass through walls and other solid

objects. His weakness: he will dissolve within 30 seconds if he is

ever submerged in water while in his liquid state. He dies by

sacrificing himself. What happens is that some of the characters are

trapped in a large container that is submerged underwater, and water

is slowly leaking in. He sacrifices himself by going through the side

of the container and flipping a switch taht opens the container so

that everyone can swim out.

One last idea; one of the women characters gets wounded and is taken

to the medical facilities in Z-Corp. While there, they implant a small

exploding chip in her wound that will cause the wound to start

bleeding profusely. (I have no idea what this woman char will be named

or what her powers will be.)

The woman and another person (Whether the other person be a guy or a

girl, they are in love with eachother.) escape from Z-corp and go into

hiding.

Z-corp is able to contact them by calling one of teh people's cell

phones. While they are in a hotel room, the leader of Z-corp detonates

the bomb and causes the woman's wound to bleed. The boss calls them

and tells them that they have no choice but to return to Z-corp if she

wants to live. The wounded woman tells her to just leave her and flee

herself, but the other person ignores her warning and takes her back

to Z-corp, where they are captured. (either that, or teh otehr person

flees, letting the person either live or die. What do you think?)

Okay guys. Any ideas for characters? Any suggestions on the plot?

Movie Idea, and I need YOUR help!?
I think that you should name the movie "Z-Corp"...after all, that IS where the story is taking place.

As for characters, I think that you should have one character who looks completely normal and all of his fellow classmates (I don’t know if that is the right word to use) don’t really know what he does (as in, what his power is). So he many people don’t like him because they see him as an outsider who has no right being among them. But they later find out that he has the power to heal practically anything (wounds, sickness...that sort of thing but he is unable to heal himself or anything else connected to him...like family members). As far as his behavior, I think that you should make him really quiet and polite, someone who prefers to remain in the shadows. He is in love with a girl who can disguise herself as almost any tree or animal, and is really protective of her. His name should be something like Glave or Kartler. His weakness should be that he was born with a bad limp and because of that, he cannot fight well. Also, he has a bit of a hot temper, so when he feels threatened (or feels like one he loves is threatened) he can go a little crazy (even if the person he feels threatened by is an authority figure or a much more powerful foe).

The girl that Glave/Kartler likes could be named Tasha or Sander. As I mentioned, she could have the ability to transform into almost any type of animal (I say ALMOST because she cannot turn into anything male. So she would not be able to turn into a Buck, only a Deer...make sense?). But her weakness could be that when she turns into an animal or tree, she has to behave like that thing (so she would not be able to communicate with those around her) and she never knows for sure how long her disguise will last (it is never over an hour though). And when she is transformed into a regular girl again, she has nearly all of her energy completely drained.

I hope that those sound like good ideas (I am also a writer and hope one day to direct films, so this was a whole lot of fun for me to think about)!! If you pick me as best answer, I will promise to go see your movie when it hits theaters. lol...just kidding...I will probably go see it even if you didn't. lol

There are so many superheros movies that you should try to check if you aren´t using other director´s ideas...then I think that Milla Jovovich could be part of your movie as main actress and main character, she has been involved in unusual movies like Resident evil and a super heroine called Ultraviolet. She could be perfect for you movie, I would like to know more about your ideas for the villains, it needs improvement but i think your movie could work..and be enjoyed..good luck!!!.

Reply:As a writer, I suggest you ask questions, take a class and read some scripts, screenplays and treatments (all movie terms) and see how 'the other guys do it', and to get an idea of what to do and how its done. Write at least a chapter of your story idea first, as though this were a book, and see how that goes. Always write, then rewrite, then rewrite again. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. I do have to say (hopefully you are open to constructive criticism and take it as suggestion), your story sounds too much like a formula and a lot of stuff we've seen before. You need an interesting hook, something different and the characters need to be interesting --- think of your audience and what they'll be interested in, not just what you like --- make them multi-dimensional (in the life-like sense). But never let anyone tell you to stop. Walt Disney said, "If you can dream it, you can do it."

Superpowered teams are nothing new...comics have done it for years. Maybe they get there powers from a higher supereme being. But they don't know how to use them and what they are for. Why is the movie so dant short. Holy smokes the movie is only 90 minutes aka 1hr and 23 minutes including credits, so this "super intense'' movie that people have gone crazy over wasting their life trying to find clues will be a movie alittle under and hour 30!!!!!!!! Also I read some reviews of people who saw advance screenings of the movie, and the one person said that "just to remember that the movie is based on the people and not much on the monster''. Futher reading without spoiling to much said to me that proboally this monster will hardly be seen at all in the movie, maybe some or a little bit, but not much!!!! I feel decieved, after sooo much anticipation, this movie could be a flop!!!

i like long movies actually because you get more details but most horror movies arnt that long they like to go straight for the killing then done.

well from what ive heard is that the whole movies is being filmed to be like a documentary. these people have the video camera and they are recording this incident so since im guessing when they are running away from the monster the camera will be moving to much so they probably didnt sow enough time to actually show the monster.

I have alot of movie folders. Each folder is the name of the movie. Is there a program that can download movie covers from imdb and put them in their corresponding folder?

For example if c:\Movies has two folders, Oceans 12 and Mission Impossible 2. I want c:\movies\Oceans 12 to be populated with the movie cover for oceans 12 and c:\movies\Mission Impossible 2 to be populated with its corresponding movie cover.

There's no software that'll do this for you ... you'll have to do it manually.

My parents are out of town, so my little sisters and I are inviting some friends over for a super movie night. I'm 18, one of my sisters is 15 and the other is 14. We're all inviting a few friends, and it'll be co-ed. We're throwing a Gilmore Girls style party, with pizza, Chinese, and Mexican food. We want to watch a classically funny movie. Our family's favorite movie is Young Frankenstein, but we've done too many movie nights with that one. We were thinking Ghostbusters or something similar. I'm not into stupid and gross comedy, like 40 Year Old Virgin, or Napoleon Dynamite. My sister suggested Ferris Bueler's Day Off, which would be a hit, but I'm looking for some more suggestions also. 80's movies are fantastic, as my friends were born in the late 80's and appreciate the quality. IF an actress is going to do a controversal movie scene, and the movie critic finds it offensive, WHY does he/she tell all of us about the controversal movie scene?

OF COURSE all of us are then going to watch the movie JUST to see if the scene is THAT controversal.

Dakota Faning is going to do a controversal movie scene. Movie I never heard of. But I am sure all the critics will be talking about it.

Holy crap! Dakota Fanning is raped in an upcoming movie? That IS controversial. I haven't heard of this movie so far but I would imagine it would cause quite a stir. Then again I guess that depends on how intense the scene is. If it's moderately graphic I guess that that would make it a movie first, wouldn't it? I can't recall any other film where a child actress as young as Dakota is raped on camera.

A while ago my Latin teacher told me about an adaptation of Vergil's "Aeneid" in which the actors really got to speak in Latin! How awesome is that?! The problem is I don't know what the title of this movie was... :( I think my teacher mentioned it was an Italian movie and was released sometime in the '60s or the '70s...

Does anyone know what movie it was? If not, then have you at least ever heard of a movie in Latin (besides "The Passion of the Christ")? Do any of you know of any movie adaptation of the epic?

Hi, I've always been interested in making movies, I also want to be a writer, do you think those to things fit together?

Anyways, I was wondering how you actually become a movie maker.

Money? Do you need a lot of it? Do you need a college education for it (or writting)?

Do you start out small, like shorts and gradually become higher?

How do people who direct movies (like theatrical) do you have to be known or could not even have really much experince with actually making a movie, but people like it anyways?

Do you have to use your own money, or have help with other people too.

Since I want to write, should I just try and give my books or short stories to movie makers, (or show makers.). Do I need an agent or something? And how do some moive makers become so big, do they have tips or something, or are they just lucky, or really good and also lucky?

Movie making?
You don't really need any college education per say to become a movie maker, however it would most definitely improve your chances in making it big in the industry. If you were thinking of doing the video-graphy as well then yes you would need a few years of college under your belt.

you can choose to use your your own money for a film (which is incredibly expensive and most likely don't have) you can sell your work and get funding for your film.

You generally start small (as you would in most careers) but if you do really well and come up with creative and unique ideas you'll be golden.

As for choosing to to write short stories over screen plays, I think that all depends on you.

Film School is kind of a must, because its like Law School..they won't pay attention to you if you didnt "pay your dues"...Law school is expensive...because they know you'll make it back practicing Law...I know that kinda stinks...but ...well you know..

There are ways to get on the crew, but sometimes you won't get paid...which is a drag...but you get priceless experience and you get your face and name seen ...

Once you do that for a bit...there are positions such as "second director" and the like...which is a great position to jump to the feature position.

Initially, making a movie using your own money is a good idea because it shows you can work within a budget...

Reply:I am currently a film student. I also do some writing as well. The two fields go together very well. Although I would suggest focusing on one rather than both. I say this because one can lead to the other. Lets say you write. Get you an agent and sell a script you can sometimes for go a fee for say being able to observe the filming of said script. May or may not work but as with anything you never know until you try. There are many doors through which one can enter into the film world. But from all I have seen having your own money and good credit is a heaven sent. This will allow you to get some of the basic gear needed to do your own independent movie. Its also good to get some schooling under your belt. Although some of the most influential people in film today never went to school at all for film. So yes some luck is involved but all luck is is you through your dedication being in the right place at the right time. Networking is also important. This allows you to learn new ideas and possibly hook up with other like minded people. Who knows you may meet someone who knows someone, who knows someone....lol. Hey my info is there so hit me up maybe we can hook up. I got some really good ideas.

Universities usually offer Film courses (Both Appreciation and production) as well as creative writing courses.

Usually, if you want a job right after you grad. Start temping, even if it's a shitty job. Because eventually someone is going to notice that you have this education and they might start bumping you up.

I'm a film writer, and I can tell you that for legality reasons you cannot simply send them a book or script. If they say no to you and lets say make a similar movie with the book still there they could be sued. So they will never accept it unless you're in a contract.

OK, I realize it is hard to think of a new and different movie, but PULSE is like they copied The Ring and a few other scenes from scare movies. Such as the old, been-there-done-that people suddenly appearing where the female in distress screams and jumps. Pleeeeseeee. Throw in "plague killing everyone" idea, such as 28 days, and you have this movie.

Why don't they make a scare movie, such as Predator, where the badness kicks the actors and actresses butts, but then they get mad and kick-back? No, everyone runs around screaming and falling down. Give me a break!

My windows movie maker is screwed so could someone tell me if this would work:

I already have the video done but everytime I try to save it as a movie file it closes down on me.

So if I added the movie project as an attachment to an e-mail. Then send it to someone. They would download it to their computer and then they would save it as a movie file and send it to me as an attachment. Don't mess with the video. Just save it as a movie file. Don't steal the movie either.

So would this work and will anyone do it for me. Just give me your e-mail adress if yes.

Ok TV / movie trivia fans I need help finding out this movies title and if on DVD/VHS. I saw this when I was about age 10, on TV, on Cincinnati or Indy channels, before cable in the late 60's-ish. Possibly a movie on The Wonderful World of Disney. The movie was about a teenage boy searching for gold with help from friends maybe a family effort to find the gold. He had a goofy professor, who had a parrot, helping him with technology. He was opposed by some bad guys who wanted the gold. The treasure was traced to a sunken ship and was retrieved. The twist was the actual gold was formed into the ships railing and was discovered by accident when the rail was scraped accidently. The recovered treasure really was not so the bad guys didn't get the real gold. At the movies end there is a pan away shot of the parrot sitting in a small helicopter as if the parrot was piloting it. This movie is not Goonies;maybe Treasure off San Bosco Reef. Maybe had a comic strip about the characters. SOS!

I think movie trailers reveal too much about the movie, and oftentimes trailers for horror movies give away some of the "scariest" parts. However, I do see how they are necessary, as they let the audience know what the movie is about. Does anybody else feel this way? How can movie trailers give less away, but still tell viewers enough about the movie to get them excited?

Keep in mind that often times there's scenes in a trailer that don't even show up in the movie. Unless you see it on the special features portion of the DVD.

I think they do a good job at teasing us just enough.

When Kangaroo jack came out I had no interest in seeing the movie (based on the trailers) but my son made me take him to see it anyway and the movie didn't suck nearly as bad as the trailers made me think it would. I think the people releasing the trailer should take a good hard look at what they are letting out, so that the trailers actually reflect the movie in its entirety instead of just one segment that had little to do with the rest of the movie.

Reply:Normally no, however I have seen a few trailers which seemed to include all the best parts of a movie: top special effects, etc. When you go and watch the movie, you are surprised that what promised to be breathtaking, appears to go at a moderate pace at best. But the movie people are happy - after all, you have paid for your ticket already.

This is a movie done in the late 80's, early 90's (I think). I used to watch it all the time on the disney channel. I don't know if its a disney movie, but it always came on the disney channel. It was a movie about two brothers, one is older than the other, and they go to camp to spend the summer. The time in the movie was set in the year 1940's or 1950's. The younger brother wanted to learn how to swim and the older one was a counselor at the camp who would have problems with a young boy who was a rebel. There was a scene in the movie when they were all dressed as indians and the rebel boy didn't want to participate, so the counselors had to force him to also dress as an indian. Then, I remember a scene where the rebel was picking on the younger brother of the counselor. If any more details are needed to help me find the name of this movie, please let me know. I can remember the following about the movie and some of the characters. The main guy was a drug dealer/lord/kingpin, usually wore all white and/or fancy expensive clothes, would literately sit in his window sill and eat and taunt the police, ran drugs from his home, had a toilet pretty much at the back end of one of his hallways, at one point of the movie got arrested and later bailed out, but while in jail, somebody asked him for his shoes (they were expensive i guess) and at some point of the movie, while talking about tiger woods, would pronounce his name "tiger woose". Looked a little eccentric, queer-ish, and could have been of puerto-rican decent. the movie I think also involved an undercover cop or kid who ended up reluctantly working for him for a period of time. i cannot think of the name, can anyone help? i also remember at the end of the movie, his brother dies right before him, by being shot in a car i think... and he is shot to death in the nice clothes he wore. help

The movie main characters are a little blond girl and a middle aged man. The girl is in this family of a cheating wife and a dad that treats her bad. The middle aged man kinda drifts into town and he and the little girl meet at some point of the movie and start taking. Sorry this is very vague, but I watched this movie when i was in my teen years and have been wanting to see it again.

The "KEY" part in the movie which is the ending is that the little girl gives the middle aged man 3 items. She tells him each does something different. The middle aged man is running from the cops in his truck and one item he drops brings up a forest behind him. Another brings up a river behind him. The third I forget what it does, but that was a part in the movie that stood out in the movie for me.

it was an old movie i saw many year ago on TV. it looked like maybe a 70s or 80s movie, but i don know what decade or year it came out, but it was definitely a while ago. there was a boy as main character, i think he didnt have a family, and he hanged out with a adult friend. sometime in the movie, he goes to a store and gets in trouble for trying to steal cat food (but his friend has money so he helps him out). there is another kid in the movie, who is handicapped in a weelchair, and his parents are going thru a divorce or sumthing.

Movie Question: Tragic Movie/Tragic Ending ... how would it make you feel?

So I am currently working on a movie. To describe the genre is really hard, but horror/action/romance mostly, I suppose. It's a mixture of everything with horror at the upfront because of supernatural aspects and lots of blood.

It's not going to be a happy movie throughout, even though it's not a slasher. And the end will be tragic, with no happiness thrown in. It would be betraying the whole idea of the movie to make it happy for the sake of the audience.

I've always admired movies with the guts to not adhere to the standards of the Hollywood ending. Something that makes one think, or shocks you, as opposed to fluff and happiness, I think is something to be respected.

So, the question is, how would a movie that doesn't give you any sort of happy closure make you feel? What would you THINK of it?

quick story--i went to see Bridge to Terabithia based on the trailers. looked like nice light hearted fantasy based Saturday afternoon fare. had my GF, popcorn and a weekend attitude--everything i needed.

i don't want to give it away, but it is anything but that. the movie takes a horrible turn that left the audience gasping. i could hear little kids behind me crying. i was sorely disappointed. but that is because of what it portrayed itself as being, at least to me.

but in a horror movie, i think this can be carried off, especially today. you have movies like Vanilla Sky,The Number 23 and Perfect Stranger that sort of go against convention--but because of the tone of the film, it's easier to accept.

i'm not sure how much of a money maker you would have on your hands, but you might be able to make people think more about what they have seen, sort of the way some indie producers work. what is more important at this point--money or critical acclaim?

i say stick to your guns and go with what you has the impact on the audience that you really want...or maybe do the conventional stuff to make the money so you can do the more important stuff.

i mean, Clint Eastwood was in Tarantula before he made Million Dollar Baby (movie totally sidelined me--i sat there turning my head so my GF couldn't see a couple of tears...). i thought i was going to see a boxing movie. damn you, Clint!!!!
Reply:I have seen movies that haven't given the audience any kind of happy closure, and I thought the movies sucked, and I told all of my friends and family about it and the ones that saw it anyway agreed that it sucked. Those movies are total downers. Life is depressing enough, why would I want to pay $20.00 or more to go to a theater and be more depressed? Thanks but no thanks.

It's your movie so you can do what you want, just don't expect it to be a blockbuster.
Reply:Well, I have watched alot of movies like this and I like very scary movies involved with the supernatural. Movie's like that sometimes give me nightmares but I still love them. We named daughter Branigan, after a movie I saw about 1984. The movie was similar to "Man from snowy river", with the main female character called "branigan", which, in the movie, was her last name, I think, but that's what the lead male character called her. What is the name of this movie!!?? was a western, I think setting was Autralia or New Zealand. May have been a T.V. movie.

This was an American movie. It wasn't a traditional western, of course. It was set in either Australia or New Zealand. If you remember "The Man From Snowy River" this story is almost the same. It was also within two years of that movie, probably a cheap take-off of MFSR.

Branigan was the characters last name, but the lead male called her by her last name, Branigan.

I can't add much to the fact that the movie was almost the exact same story as "The Man From Snowy River", with a rougue cowboy and a wealthy cattle barrons daughter (Branigan) who fall in love.

I don't repeat it to annoy those who have tried to help, but because, as we know, repeating it puts it back at the top of the list again, increasing it's chances of being seen by someone who remembers it. Thanks for understanding.

i made this movie on movie maker and i wanna save it .. but it keeps on saying

"Windows movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again."

i tried deleting all the files used and getting them again and making the movie again but the same thing happens .. plz help !

If the files you used for making the movie, are not in the location where you got to to create the movie, you will have this problem. You need to make sure they are in the exact location you got them, then go into where it shows the X's, in the clip and search for the clips.

This movie is an old movie done between the 1940’s – 1960’s. It was either in black and white, the first pastel colors, or both (kind of like Gone with the Wind’s color). The movie was a comedy and had some scenes like an old musical. I think the actor was a famous actor. He looked like a geek: thin, thick brown hair, and possibly wore glasses. His voice was kind of high pitched and he made a lot of funny gestures with his face. The plot was that this guy was looking for a job, and I think he’s like a janitor. He winds up working at this boarding house full of young beautiful women. He’s very nervous around women so it makes this movie hilarious. The only thing I really remember about this movie was when the lady who ran the house has a TV interview and she’s sitting in the chair and he’s right behind her. Also when the film crew enters the house, the scene shows the house like a set, where you can see all 3-4 levels of the house. If anyone can either identify the name of the movie or the actor, it would be greatly appreciated.

Crying babies and movie theaters?

Is it just TX (where I am) or everywhere? Lately, it seems like more and more people are bringing their infants to late evening R- rated movies (like action flicks). I am not insensitive to the plight of young parents wanting to see a good movie. But by the same token, I pay good money for these tickets and why should I have a bad experience because 4 women with crying infants (I kid you not, that's how many there were last night) decide that their right to see a movie with their screaming child outweighs mine to see a movie in peace. What happened to hiring a babysitter or renting a dvd? It's not my fault you have a screaming infant that you are not quieting down or taking out of the room. LOL.

What do you think? Should movie theaters reimburse people if their movie is interupted (frequently) in this manner? Should parents with infants not be permitted in clearly non-family movies? Or am I just a meanie for wanting to watch a movie in peace? :)

As a father who has had to deal with his own screaming infant, I agree with you. It is a parent's responsibility to be an ambassador for the family to the rest of the world. We must protect our children from others, but we must also protect other people from our children.

My rights to enjoy a movie do not entail preventing other people from enjoying that same movie.
Reply:I think it is really rude to bring an infant to a movie theater. I don't think parents with infants or small children should be admitted into non-family movies. I totally feel the same way you do.
Reply:No, you are perfectly right to think that they're annoying--I think that! I mean, if someoen does take their kid to a rated R movie, they're bound to have nighmares if they stare at the screen to keep quiet, so more trouble for the parent at home...?
Reply:Ok, as a mother who sometimes can't always afford a sitter for me and my hubby to go to a movie, you have to get out of the house, and I would never just sit there and let my daughter cry through a movie, but I have whats called manners. But there have been time where I have taken my daughter and she hasn't said a thing, she just fell asleep...and there was these kids who were louder than she would have ever been..and they were not much younger than me. I think that theaters should make family theater rooms, that only people with kids can go into that way you won't be pissed that there are kids crying, but maybe you should be a little sympathetic to parents too, they need a break also...I don't think your mean but come on, we all have to do somethings we don't like...
Reply:I have had the same problem, (not R-rated movies, because I don't watch them) and I used to work at a movie theater too. I think it is very inappropriate of parents to bring young children to R-rated movies, and to have them disturb everyone else in the theater. That's what Blockbuster is for people! And hello! Call a freaking babysitter!

Reply:I agree with you cause they should know that an infant isn't going to be able to sit through a whole movie. My aunt never brings my little cousin because we know she won't be able to sit through the whole thing so whoever doesn't want to see the movie that we are seeing will stay with her. Because infants do talk a lot and you want to be able to hear the movie cause you paid good money to hear it and it shouldn't be interupted by infants. Maybe movie theaters should have a day care if parents can't get a babysitter for that day or time.
Reply:That issue is epidemic. I have read that in larger areas theaters are running movies during the day purposely for stay at home moms. All these moms can go and take their kids so they all know to expect interrupptions and crying, etc. They did this to combat the number of crying babies in theaters. Not all areas have this benefit though.

I do believe it is inappropriate to take a child (particularly a baby) to an adult movie. It is in poor taste. If someone doesn't have the means to get a sitter then they will just have to miss the movie. I think that the R rating should stand that NO ONE under 18 is admitted (even if a parent is with them). A baby doesn't need to experience X Men 3. For the first 2 years of my son's life, I didn't see a movie. It was my choice not to get a sitter but I also didn't think it was right to take him in case he cried. It's not fair to those who paid and DON'T have kids.

I think it would be great if theaters reimbursed people whose movie experience is frequently interrrupted but, I don't think that is going to happen.

Reply:Good point. This is one of the main situations driving the DVD/home theatre/large screen TV market.

But you are right. Everytime it happens, you should speak to the manager and demand your money back. If it happens enough times, eventually we will have "adults only theatres" (and not for sex) - like "no smoking" rooms at hotels, these megaplexes will set aside a group of theatres that won't allow kids in them. Start the movement now!

And once you are successful in this, move on to ... AIRPLANES! Is there anything more annoying than some yamoring kid, screaming on your flight!?
Reply:It's the parent's responsibility (if they feel the absolute need to drag some kid along) to leave the theatre until the baby has quieted down. It's not the theatre's fault, however, so I don't think they would have to reimburse you. If a parent does not leave and you kindly ask them to because you're trying to enjoy the movie you paid for, perfectly expecting no idiot to drag in a little baby that's probably getting upset at all the noise on screen. If they don't do anything, contact the manager. The theatre has no problem tossing out someone that's being a distraction considering they're the minority and their patronage can be lost. The majority, however, is important.
Reply:theres definitely nothing wrong with wanting a peaceful movie experience. i have dealt with the same thing on numerous occasions. i too live in tx, but have seen the same things in theaters all over. i seriously doubt that they would ever reimburse anyone though, seeing as how their whole reason for jacking up prices is to milk us out of our money. good luck with your next movie going experience.
Reply:I am not sure about the reimbursement on tickets in movies where your interrupted by small children, but you definitely have the right to complain and ask for reimbursement. It's rude to force your crying or yelling kids on others during a movie. I have a 2yr old, and would not take her to the movies with us, because I know she will talk loudly or want to run around. There are some theaters were I live that have a "Cry Baby" night were parents with small children can go watch a movie with other parents with small kids. People just don't have any consideration for others.

I do think that it must be hard for parents nowadays to find suitable babysitters that they can trust and not harm their child.

I think you should be reimbursed and the theaters should have a separate showing in the day for parents with young children.

Reply:I completely agree with you. It's like that in Ohio also. There was a time a couple months ago that my boyfriend and I left the theater, and told the manager that we wanted our money back. The manager didn't like this, but he decided to go check out the room himself. He sat for about 10 minutes. 2 women with crying babies, and a group of 15 extremely annoying, immature kids. Cell phones ringing, and them opening them up and lighting the room every 5 minutes, laughing at parts that weren't funny.. etc. He gave us our money back.
Reply:Personally I think that they should be allowed to view the movie just as anyone else they pay their hard earned money to see the movie just as well, but at the sametime I believe that a mother should step out of the movie when the baby begins to cry to not disturb others from enjoying the show.

I dont think movie theaters should reimburse people when their movie is interupted they have teens and adults that ruin movies by talking, joking and cell phones no one mentions that. Everyone should be able to see what ever movie they wish to pay their money to see. Reply:Ignorant neglectful selfish parents live in every state. Did you see Madea's Family Reunion!? Hate to spoil it if you didn't but at the end of the movie, the actor/director/writer (Tyler Perry) who plays Madea turned to the camera and ADDRESSED the Mammas with crying babies. It was hilarious. Wouldn't you know it, there were at least 2 crying babies in the theater at that very moment. They should sell $10 babysitting tickets. Knowing the theater prices, people would buy it if it was $40 which is most likely the price they'd charge. Good Question.
Reply:I agree with you. When a baby/infant begins to cry and carry on, the parent should be respectful enough of others to remove themselves from the area. Same applies for a restaurant. When I pay good money for a meal, I don't want to hear screaming and see infants/toddlers throwing things and acting up. I think theaters should post a sign that if you enter with a child/infant..you may be asked to leave if the child disturbs others and you don't voluntarily remove the child.

Reply:I think it is the parents that should be responsible for the children. This goes for the screaming, running around variety of children as well. If it is an infant, take it out of the room, or hire a babysitter. If it is older, teach it to behave. If you teach your children properly, they will sit through a movie quietly (not that they should be in the R-rated ones anyway). My siblings and I were all well behaved at movies and restaurants. We knew if we didn't behave, we would be leaving and going home right then.

Have you ever seen a church with a "cry room." This is the sound proofed room where parents can bring thier children, but still enjoy the service. They could easily install these in movie theaters.

Windows Movie Maker Spliting movies up?

I have a 3 hour movie on my computer and I want to put it onto a blank dvd so I can watch it on my tv. But the movie is too long and I want to put split the movie into 2 seperate parts so it can fit onto the dvd's that I have. I tried using windows movie maker but when I imported it, it was broken up into like 600 clips of 2-3 seconds. I have no Idea how to fix this? Can I even use windows movie maker to do this type of thing???

FIrst you hit play. there will be two buttons on the play screen. one shaped like a camera and the other will be shaped like a box with a dotted line through it. pust the dotted line button when you feel it necessary. and you you can do that on windows movie maker.
Reply:maybe copy and the clips on one half of it (highlighting them and pressing ctrl+c) and then past (ctrl+v) them onto one disk. Then do the same thing with the other half, and paste it onto the second disk.

WTF? This secene was ACTUALLY INCLUDED in the film's trailer. I thought the point of movie-trailers was to make audiences want to see a flick, not drive them away.

Now I do not know how much hype this has caused in the Philippines, but Mark Lapid's character was making tough-guy referrences to the flower pulp of a banana tree!!! Again... WTF? I don't think the movie's director has ever heard of editing.

That made me wanna throw up, then I checked out some more videos and found out that some DJ has made a hilarious music video of that movie quote. Check it out and have a big laugh...

Reply:I agree that Filipino cinema leaves a lot to be desired. However, in the greater scheme of things not working right in the Philippines, quality moviemaking should rank at the bottom of a Filipino's priority list.

Did you know that the Philippines has the 11th (out of 170+ countries) highest infant mortality rate with 33 babies out of 1000 dying? For comparison, Singapore's is 3. Given that half the country earn less than 2 dollars a day (no medicine) with nobody seeming to care, is it really that surprising?

I think this issue and many others are more important, Agreed? Let's focus on that then.

Very old movie?

I'm looking for a very old movie about 2 lions. The movie is based on 2 real lions that are now housed in the Smithsonion Institute. Michael Douglas was in the movie and the last time my husband seen the movie it was on VCR tape. In the movie Michael Douglas hunts the lions in India and the plot of the movie was about building a bridge..... I sure hope someone knows the name of the movie I'm trying to find. Thank you.

Named my daugthter Branigan, after a movie I saw about 1984. The movie was similar to "Man from snowy river", with the main female character called "branigan", which, in the movie, was her last name, I think, but that's what the lead male character called her. What is the name of this movie!!?? was a western, I think setting was Autralia or New Zealand. May have been a T.V. movie.

This was an American movie. It wasn't a traditional western, of course. It was set in either Australia or New Zealand. If you remember "The Man From Snowy River" this story is almost the same. It was also within two years of that movie, probably a cheap take-off of MFSR.

So there are gonna have the third movies. ex: Sherk the Third, Spider-man 3, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. So, I'm gonna need any of you to give me the reward of each movie and which the movie will you think beat all of two movies this month? and why? (i know this sounds like we are back in school. haha)

I think it's really between Spiderman and Pirates. Spiderman really surprised me, I had no idea so many people were into it. A lot of people love POtC and Johnny Depp, so I think it has a chance of beating Spidey. Shrek is awesome and all, but I don't think it stands a chance between the other too.

Both movies offer a variety of special efects, so theres all about actors performing and the plot. I havent seen spiderman yet but I expect a lot from this movie. But the pirates 3... threre is something special about that movie, that keeps me burning form impatience.

okay, i will make myself more clear. i will shoot a movie with my friends using digital cameras. i will be playing the lead role. i want to be the hero or the leader, for example: jack sparrow. do you know any movie ideas, for example: trojan movie or pirates movie. what should the movie be about and what should my character be?

Okay. I write movies for fun too.

I'm seeing that you're character is just minding his own bussiness, being a wanna-be hero. Comedy: Saving squirrells. Drama: The poor guy who works hard and never gets noticed. (Could work for a comedy too.)

Then, his buddy comes across this announcement, for some large event. The MC (You) and buddy decide to go. From thre, they can "accidently" save the day. In other words, there is some kind of plot, and you do something that saves the day.

You can add several subplots to this. A Romantic one, maybe what in the world this event is, other character relationships, a competition, an inner emotion, etc.

It's a little cheesy, but, hey, it's for fun, right?

It's much easier to be serious if you don't have to worry about too many limitations, such as your backyard and etc. But, hey, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Movie Gallery's "additional late fee collection efforts"?

Before I begin, I just want you to know that I despise Movie Gallery. And because of it, I will no longer be renting movies from them ever again.

To begin with, I have a $30 late fee on a movie I returned, [$15 for the movie's retail price(reason unknown), $13 in EV fees, and $1 Rental tax] and I will never return to the store with that account ever again. I have received two letters from Movie Gallery stating "Inattention to this matter will result in additional collection efforts".. so my question is, What's the worse they can do to me if I never pay the $30?

I guess it depends if they have your credit card. They could simply charge you for basically whatever they want, but most rental places have a cut off. After X days they charge you a flat fee for the movie, the restocking fee, and the late charges. It's really weird that they want to keep charging you.

Past charging you, I don't think they can technically do anything else, but paying $50 for a movie does suck pretty bad.

I've seen this korean movie called Wolf's Attraction 2 years back and it was an absolutely amazing movie. Romantic and sad movie. i'm looking for the title of a movie

this is my favorite childhood movie

and i have to admit, i dont even know what the title is

its pretty darn old, 90's? mid 80's? iuno

its animated

and its about a brother and sister that sort of get "transported" to this world made of candy

Movie with Octopus?

I saw a movie a long time ago where people on a ship encountered a octopus. They went under the ocean in this globe like thing with a hole in the bottom and first saw the octopus. The octopus then wrecked the ship with its legs and the people onboard escaped and ended up on an island or maybe it was atlantis under the ocean. I know whereever they were they fought giants and one of the guys fell in love with a woman. At the end they made their way back home. I know for a fact the movie isn't "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea." The movie is however pretty old. It is in color. I'd say the movie was made in the 70's or very early 80's. I don't know who starred in it. If you happen to know the title of this movie please let me know. Thank you.

Is it possible that movie theatres will cease to exist? DVDs are being released almost as soon as the movies get into theatres. Home theatre systems have made watching movies at home exciting, easy, and comparable to going to a movie theatre. People may still want to go out to see a movie, but I have seen a number of movie theatres close in the last 10 years. Are you tired of going to movie theatres and dealing with annoying kids, teenagers, and paying high prices for movies, drinks, snacks, etc. Is there something movie theatre companies can do to ensure people will still go to theatres? I am curious as to what you think may happen 5-10 years from now.

i think people still like the idea of going out and seeing a movie in theatres the old fashioned way. maybe the number of big multiplexes will shrink but i dont think they will ever go away all together.

this arguement is kinda like when all the eshops started popping up and everybody thought they would kill retail stores. and remember how that worked out.

Reply:I can only say that my own small town until two years ago had only a single aging theatre, haphazardly divided into three sections and badly served. That theatre has now been restored to its original 1925 condition and offers live performances, as well as independent and foreign films.

In the meanwhile, two separate many-screened complexes have been built for showing recent Hollywood garbage. There surely must be some profit in this.

Someone once told me about the movie he like most. All I can remember is that its name was a... something (i mean, the word started by A) and that the word had something to do with animals, though i know it's not the word animal, nor the name of any animal). He told me, and these are exactly his words: If i ever met an alien, and he asked what movies are I would show him this movie, because it shows earth in its best way... the images are incredible. The movie is about the life of some people who live in south america, and the director is a woman. I know it is not a conventional movie, and it's more a documentary tha a movie.

When i was a child i watched a childrens movie. I don't know what it was called. But i do remember that in the movie a girl goes threw a magic mirror. And in the movie she is trying to get to a witches or queens castle. And in order for the queen to survive she must eat these magic strawberries in order to stay young. The girl is walking threw what i can remember to be a wall or something threw most of the movie. Also the characters in the movie were actually her stuffed animals brought to life.. I'm not sure if she was dreaming or what. But i want to watch this movie again. SO ANYONE THAT KNOWS WHAT IT IS CALLED OR CAN GIVE ME MORE INFO PLEASE TELL ME WHATEVER YOU CAN!! I just saw Transformers on Monday night. There was a trailer for a movie that no title was given, just a scene from the movie in which the head of the Statue of Liberty was thrown. Does anybody know what movie that's going to be? My guess is that's it's another Godzilla movie. It's supposed to be released on January 8, 2008.

I have heard some rumors that say that naruto dies in one of the movies but so far ive only seen 3 movies and in none of them he dies i have seen: naruto the movie 1 (where he has to protect an actres) Naruto the movie 2 (where he fights some people with rare armors, also first movie ive seen gaara actually appear) and the movie 3 where he has to protect a prince, in that one they join a circus... am i missing a movie? and if so can u tell me its title to look it up?

Issue 20 of Weekly Shonen Jump reports that Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Neji Hyuga, Rock Lee, and Choji Akimichi will be the main characters. Three unidentified characters will also appear: one with purple eyes named Shion, another is reminiscent of Orochimaru except with a goatee, and the third is a man with glasses dressed as an attendant. The only detail about the plot given was the vague headline that "Naruto dies."

In the first set of teasers, Naruto is attacked by ten figures, all of whom glow dark purple and can fire similarly-colored energy blasts. His headband falls off during the attack, and his attempt to form a Rasengan fails. Naruto's friends are seen standing around a gravestone in the following scene, his torn headband hanging from one edge.

The trailer begins with a brief glimpse of Shion's eyes and a dark scene with lava. Naruto is fighting against dark purple, snake-like attacks with dragon heads. He is impaled through his back for the first of two times in the trailer. Shion's face is seen in a metallic reflection as if she was looking at herself, while black ribbons wave in the background.

The second scene shows Naruto's friends mourning in a graveyard, though many details are different than the scene showed in the initial teasers. Sakura, Neji and Lee are present shown as battle damaged and not wearing their funeral clothing.

The following scenes show Naruto and Sakura carrying around a weak Shion in a friendly manner. Lee is seen fighting with a rock-like enemy. Three individuals with connected chakra strings are also seen. The trailer ends as Shion falls from Naruto's back and down a chasm. As she falls, she reaches for a cracked ornament that she wears. The scene suddenly changes to show Naruto impaled a second time, but in a different location and by a different object than at the start of the trailer.

Reply:The movie that the rumors are referring to is Naruto movie 4, or Naruto Shippuuden the movie. It will air in Japan theatres on 4th August this year.

The movie apparently revolves around Naruto dying... In the trailers, Naruto is shown fighting a losing battle against 10 dark purple figures, and there's also a scene with Naruto's friends around a gravestone which has Naruto's headband on it. But in my opinion, I don't think Naruto will die. I'm just guessing that maybe in the storyline, there was some misunderstanding... Like maybe Naruto's friends thought he died but actually he didn't. If I don't remember wrongly, something like this happened in one of the filler episodes as well.

Anyway, the Naruto movies are not part of the original manga storyline and thus are not supposed to contribute to any major plot development, in case it interferes with and contradicts the original story in the manga, which is still in progress. The Naruto movies may be considered longer versions of the filler episodes. Hence, if Naruto really dies at the end of Shippuuden the movie, it would not make sense for the original manga storyline, especially since Naruto is the main character and is essential in the original manga's plot development.

Windows Movie Maker Help?

Im trying to get a movie onto youtube. First on windows movie maker ive clicked on 'save to my computer' ive then gone throught the process of turning it into a actual movie not just a bunch of clips! But when its gone through the saving location and it actually starts the download it comes up saying

'Windows movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original sourch files used in your'e movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available then try again."

??? I have enough free disk space and the original sorce file should still be available + the saving location!?

What do i do???? pppllllllllllllllllllllllzzzzzzzzzzzz help!!

Reply:Where exactly were you trying to save your movie? That's the important thing to know! Just save it where you want to save it then follow the instructions in the save movie wizard window.

Now you got a message saying "windows movie cannot save t his file to the specified location...etc". There are four possibilities for this problem:

Your movie file is exceeding the FAT32 4-gigabyte size limit. In other words, your movie should not be exceeding 4GB if you have a FAT32 file system and not a NTFS file system on your computer. Generally, I don't recommend making your video any close to 4GB in size. You may want to try saving your movie in a NTFS partition on your hard disk if that partition is available. If you use the NTFS file system, that will support saving your movie if it is larger than 4GB. What you can do is reduce your size of the movie by removing items from your storyboard/timeline. You may also lower a movie setting when saving the movie.

Another possibility is there is not enough free space on your hard disk. How large is your movie? You can, again, consider lowering your movie setting or remove items you have from your timeline/storyboard. Not all of them but you can can select any items you can live without and remove them to reduce size and length of the movie.

This is very unlikely but another possibility is that the selected located where you want to save your movie does not exist. Now you want to save your movie to a hard drive and your hard drive should already be there the minute you got your computer already! This is the case normally for anyone who wanted to save their movie to a DV camera or a recordable CD.

One last possibility is at least one source file for the movie doesn't exist or it has been deleted. Look in your collection pane where you have all your items you need for the movie (video clips, audios, pictures etc..) and make sure EVERYTHING is there. Make sure there is no red X's at all. If you see a red X, then something is missing or has been moved. You must leave every source or item you had in the same location. For example, if you had an audio on your desktop, make sure it stays there. Do not move it to My Documents or My Music etc... If it was moved, simply move it back to where the item was in the first place when you first added it to your collection pane. Also make sure you did not accidentally delete anything. If you have not emptied your recycle bin, check in there and if the missing item is there, select it, right-click it and select "Restore" and your item will be restored back to where it was and that red X should disappear.

there are 4 movies in the series. each movie is made up of 4 or 5 short movies. another part in one of the movies is where a guy has a dream about a plane crash and wakes up and goes to the airport to try and stop the plane but it crashes anyway just like in his dream. another one of the stories is these 2 kids who try to get rid of their babysitter and she ends up tuning the tables on them. like they try to lock her in a closet and blow smoke under the door but then they are in the closet with all the smoke.

I vaguely recall that the movie is called "Spike" or "Volley" but none of these names come up under movie searches. The U.S. volley ball team goes to compete (Olympics/olympic trials?) in Germany or the USSR and the lead volley ball player meets a beautiful women that he spends the night with. Unknowingly, she slips top secret film (or data) in his pocket or backpack and I believe he gets caught when going back to the U.S. through customs.

This movie is similar to the movie, "Gotcha" starring the now popular Anthony Edwards (ER), but it's not the same movie. It is slightly possible that the sport may have been another men's team sport like water polo?? But I'm almost positive it is volleyball.

ok i got a video camera, i love making movies, but usally the movie story line is crappy. i need good movie ideas not to difficult (im 14 and sometimes work with 10 to 15 year olds...but just cuz i work with little people dosnt meen i want the movie babyish) ok here is detales about where i live and how many people i usally can do it with:

people: usally no boys (they are lame and never will do it;) so usally i can get like five girls max to do the movie. sometimes my friends lil ten year old brothers will do it, but they wont do any type of dancie, flirty, thing, theyll only do it if they get to be assasins, or terrorists...retarded

SETTINGS: i live more in the country. i can have scenes like around scary barns or new ones (and we can do it in the barns cuz my friends parents owns it) (and the no tresspassing ones...who cares if we tresspass...i doubt theres a security system out in the middle of a spooky barn!;) and in some barns there is cows...

Which would you prefer to watch a movie - at the movie theatre or go to the drive in where they have two movies for the price of one?

Also, if you went, would you sneek in some candy in so you don't have to pay the ridicous charges they charge you?

I myself don't care, but I would go to the drive in since you can watch and listen to the movie from your car and also, I would bring along some pop, popcorn and other things so I don't have to pay $3.00 at the theatre for a 50-cent candy bar that you can get at the gas station.

All other movie sites say they allow you to back up your movies as data but not as a playable DVD. Can you get around that? Is there a way to burn them anyway? Here's the deal: I have a Kodak V603 camera; real nice and all that. It takes movies in .MOV format. The goal: I need to be able to take these movies so I can work with them in Windows Movie Maker. So the questions:

1. How can I convert these to an acceptable format

2. Is there a better movie editing program I should use (instead of Windows Movie Maker)?

3. What is a good program to compress the finished products for internet use?

You need to get a movie converter. I am using Xilisoft movie converter but there are lots of good ones out there

If you are just a beginner in movie making then Windows Movie Maker is the right way to go but there are many movie editing programs. You could use Adobe Premiere that is what I am using. http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/

I think windows movie maker compresses the movies for you but i am not sure sorry
Reply:Download DivX converter, drag and drop your .mov file into the converter and choose wmv format. The converter is only a free trial, so either finish all your movies quickly or purchase the real thing.

Reply:for a new editing program, try sony vegas, pinnacle studio, or canopus edius. I believe they all of free trials you can download. I would also recommend adobe premiere elements over premiere pro, as its a bit easier to use. Most serious editing programs are meant to capture DV and you may need to play with them a bit to figure out how to edit the .mov files from your camera. try using a program like mpeg streamclip. its free and u can comvert to .mov's to a more windows friendly file.

I think you are talking about "Field of Dreams." It has Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones, and Burt Lancaster. Lancaster played an old man that Costner has to find and take to his baseball field. Yada, yada, yada. Basically, Costner and Jones end up picking up a hitchhicker on their way home and it is a kid, that gets to play in the baseball game and then Costner's daughter is chocking and the kid has to make the choice to stay on the field or save the little girl. Since as a old guy, he was a doctor, he makes the choice to save the girl and once he steps off the field, he is old again. Yea, I just rambled on about the whole freaking movie, but it is like one of my all time favorites and I am thinking it is what you are talking about. You should watch it again.

Long ago there was a movie I seen, forgot the name but remember one part in the movie.

I remember it was a horror movie, with dolls in a painting that came to life and killed people, I know it's not puppet master I own that movie.

I remember seeing a old man sitting in a chair in the painting holding a doll and having the rest of his dolls around the chair, I think.

I did not go to the theatre to see the movie but had 3 hours to kill and just chose that one sort of out of the blue. I had not seen commercials for it or even knew anything about it. I loved the movie and thought it was very funny. I looked on Rotten tomatoes.com when I got home to check it out and found it got a zero rating. The critics absolutley hate this movie with a passion. I think the critics hated it because they take movies too seriousley. To me movies are supposed to be fun. I do not think movie critics are capable of having fun. I have also not seen any of the movies that they spoofed but have heard of them. Did you see this movie and did you like it?

Reply:I agree with the first reviewer. Pan's Labyrinth is amazing and disturbing and gory in some spots and just frankly unreal. I LOVED it and I don't like disturbing OR scary. I own it, even. FABULOUS.

It is a subtitled movie, though, if that bothers you. After the first ten minutes or so, you no longer read the words, you just absorb them.

Reservoir Dogs and Boondock Saints are both great, as well.

It's not too modern but it's a way to see how other people suffer from getting aids in the suckiest way possible, and these kids develop their characteristics based on their everyday life on the streets of new york (i think). I recently watched a few movies expecting them to be one thing and they turned out to be something completely different than I had expected. One was Man of the Year with Robin Williams and another was Stranger Than Fiction with Will Farrell. Both were advertised as comedies with quotes in the commercials saying something like 'funniest movie of the year.'

Neither of those movies were funny, nor were they intended to be funny. I felt a little ripped off and cheated. I did enjoy one of those movies but I was still very disappointed in both. Do you think that this is acceptable? And aren't the movie companies doing more harm than good because even though I enjoyed one of those movies, I was still horribly disappointed in it and I will definitley not be spending more on the movie than the 2.99 I spent renting it. What do you think?

I agree completely. And though I think Stranger than Fiction could have come off as a comedy, it certainly didn't appear to be the intent of the movie to me.

As for Man of the Year - that movie was absolutely not a comedy, regardless of what the earlier poster stated. The only jokes in the movie occurred when Robin Williams was making campaign speeches, and these were almost always edited in such a way that you could barely hear what he was saying - ie. they would cut to other people talking over him. Yeah, there may have been a laugh in there somewhere, but even the Lord of the Rings had some jokes put in, and I don't think anyone would consider that a comedy.

I agree it isn't what I thought, but this question is a joke. You are saying you should get your money back because you didn't like it. Plenty of people did like it. If you don't want to get ripped off and cheated then don't give them your money. Buyer Beware. It is for entertainment, spend your money on something else if you think you are ripped off.

Very few people would laugh at The Divine Comedy; but that doesn't mean that Dante was lying when he titled it--it is a comedy, just not what modern people think of when they hear the term.

Personally, I like black comedy; but most people I know find it depressing. That's ok. They don't have to like Fargo or M*A*S*H or Stranger Than Fiction; but if I was writing the review, I might say something like "funniest movie of the year" because I do think it's funny in a sense.

If you disagree, there are plenty of other comedies out there to suit other tastes--slapstick, verbal, satire, etc.--but that doesn't mean that the reviewer or the production company lied to you. They just think differently.

No, I don't think it hurts the companies, even if they had lied to you (which they didn't). You rented the movie, and you didn't enjoy it. If they had told you beforehand that it's a movie you would probably dislike, then you wouldn't have even rented it. They get that little bit extra from you. And what? You'll be angry for a little while, but I doubt that you're going to boycott future films personally or organize a larger boycott.

And, no, it's not illegal to call a comedy a comedy. It's not illegal to show film clips and allow people to develop their own idea of what the movie is about. It's not illegal to quote what people say about the movie. Nothing they did is illegal.

Is Magix movie edit pro 11 a good software to use? I know its difficult to use. I don't want to spend a lot of money, and I want to make a movie, and not a home movie but a somewhat proffesional movie. Can you film yourself with a green screen behind you and then put it on to magix movie 11 and put a background behind you, or even better put a video of yourself in another video. How do you do this by the way, I heard it was difficult to find it and do it.
